Cabawin Oil Well to Be Abandoned in Queensland
The Union Kern A.OG Cabawin No. 2 well in Southern Queensland will be abandoned after no commercial hydrocarbon shows. It reached 10 354 feet in siltstone with all objective zones tested. No. 2 lies near Cabawin No. 1 and Moonie field. No. 1 yielded 80 barrels daily in 1961. The drilling kit moves to a site 40 miles southwest to drill Union Kerr ACG Flinton No. 1 in about a week.
