President Kennedy and Prime Minister Macmillan urged Soviet Premier Khrushchev to accept international verification for a nuclear test ban. They warned the United States would resume atmospheric tests in the Pacific after April 30 if no agreement is reached.
President Kennedy and Prime Minister Macmillan press Soviet leader Khrushchev to accept objective international verification to curb nuclear tests. The United States and Britain warn a failure to shift Soviet opposition could end talks and push forward a late month test series. Meanwhile the U S atomic energy commission designates a new testing zone around Johnston Island in the Pacific as the first area near Christmas Island was set earlier.
Britain’s 132hold-plated satellite atop an Ameri Thor Delta rocket at Canaveral awaits a 6 a.m. launch window to enter a 10 day countdown. Aims to orbit up to 600 miles to study the ionosphere and oceanic signals while Minutrak stations in six nations track its signals for a possible one year life.

Russia proposed to lend Bolivia about £67,500,000 in goods and cash to develop the tin industry. The offer aims to deepen ties as Bolivia has no current official Soviet diplomatic contacts.
Istvan Idul a 41 year old Hungarian musician had murder charges reduced to manslaughter by Mr. Keane S M at a Canberra court. Szendlay 40 leader of the touring Hungarian Gypsy Orchestra was found dead in Lowanna Street Braddon after an alleged March 30 incident following a party. Idul denied fighting Szendlay and bail was refused as he is an itinerant musician with no local ties.
Two people died in separate road crashes around Canberra yesterday. Albert Edward Sharpe a 64 year old gardener from Ainslie was killed in a collision at Talma Street and Limestone Avenue when a car driven by Ist van Sots 43 of Narrabundah struck him. Dominica Carnevale a 22 year old painter from Narrabundah died later in hospital after a crash on the Federal Highway near the Starlight drive in theatre. The van was driven by Dicer Beede 29 of Queanbeyan which struck Carnevale.
