Seeing America With Texas Farm Boy Special
Scott McGuire recalls a 1920 cross country tour by 125 Texas farm boys from Milam County, organized by Cameron banks and County Agent Banzhaf. The diary chronicles travel from College Station to Chicago, Des Moines, Lincoln, New York, and Washington, detailing farms, stock, dairy, and notable venues, with vivid notes on crops, livestock, and facilities encountered along the 5000 mile, 18 state route.
