Burlington Parish Set to Host September 25 Supper
The Annual Burlington barbecue, a Milam County attraction, will be held September 25 at Burlington Hall. Rev. T. F. O'Sullivan announced the event with Raymond Stock as chair, and committee members Henry Litzman and Joe Gieser. A parade at 11:30 a.m. precedes lunch at 12:30 with chicken and sausage on the menu. Supper is served at 5:30 p.m. with entertainment and a keynote address by a state official.

Sutton Loans Now Available to Farmers in Cameron Texas
Government loans on 1938 cotton are now available through Cameron Compress and other Texas bonded warehouses. The program offers 8.30 cents per pound for seven eights inch middling cotton to carry out the plan, with terms for cooperating and non cooperating farmers and penalties for excess production.
