Milam County Club frames road work and honorary members

Minutes show approval of prior meetings and deferment of a Charter matter. Yoe High School to Be Erected for Cameron Citizens

Mrs C H Yoe plans a high school building in Cameron on Hefley Heights covering about 2.5 acres from 19th to 23rd streets. The donor expects to spend 60 000 to 100 000 dollars on a modern campus center named C H Yoe High School. Grading has begun and construction will start soon as plans reach satisfaction. County Judge W G Gillis and Monta Thomas report strong wartime patriotism while organizing Community Councils of Defense in Gause San Gabriel and Lilac.

Milam County Men Buy Fordson Tractors for Farms

Public School Opens for 1918 19 Term in Cameron

The Cameron Public School began the 1918 19 term with 563 pupils enrolled. The Study Hall for High School students was filled, 184 in that department, the eighth grade 60 to 70, and the senior class started with 42 members. Superintendent L H Kidd praised the opening and urged parental cooperation.

Fort Worth Club Adopts Road Plan and Adds Members Drive

Caldwell of Fort Worth with telephone company reps reviewed details. The club accepted the committee report and excused them. Henderson joined the road committee to seek Curtis Hancock help to complete a road from Add Hall to the Bell county line. The membership drive was ordered and the meeting adjourned.
