Lost Horizon Set Reimagined as Ecologist Utopia in Film
British director Charles Jarrett recreates Shangri La as a modern eco utopia for a Lost Horizon remake. The set resembles Camelot’s castle transformed into a Tibetan lamasery with a real looking Himalaya backdrop. Peter Finch stars as the Nobel Peace Prize winner kidnapped by Lama followers, with a potential happier ending for the musical adaptation.
