Mr W P McDermott collects a bale of cotton from a five acre patch on his Little River bottom farm. He reports 250 acres devoted to cotton this year.
Up to Wednesday noon 3043 bales of cotton arrived at Cameron with prices from 8.90 to 9.00. The round bale press ginned 1064 bales at 83.06 per 100 for seed cotton. Last year to the same date 5109 bales were received with prices 7.60 to 7.80.
