Thieves robbed three residences and a book store in Rockdale on Saturday night taking watches rings pistols and a small gold collection and a Buick car valued at 600. The same night a group policy covering 171 ministers at 1 000 each was sold by Southwestern Life to the Texas Methodist Conference. Rural carriers of Milam county endorsed a road tax increase and elected officers at a Cameron meeting.

Death of Milam County Pioneer J. W. Locklin
J W Locklin a prominent farmer and longtime Milam County resident died at his home on Tuesday November 27 He was buried Wednesday at Locklin Cemetery in the San Gabriel community Weather and bad roads kept many Cameron attendees away Locklin had lived in Milam County since 1844.

Paving Project Planned in Cameron With Start Next Week
W E Dozier of Cameron, contractor on an $83 000 paving contract, attended a council session where the project was approved and announced plans to begin Monday on storm sewer construction linking the Auditorium Hotel to the light plant and Santa Fe tracks. Curbs will follow paving across the blocks, with paving possibly starting near January 1 if not sooner.
