James M. Sampson Dies at 65 in Cameron Hospital
James M. Sampson, 65, died at Cameron Hospital at 4 a.m. Tuesday November 18 1941 after a heart attack and long ill health. Survived by widow Mrs. James M. Sampson of Waco son Tom Sampson Jr of Harlingen sister Mrs Ed L Taylor and brother Fred F Sampson of New York. Funeral arrangements by Coleman Funeral Home and burial at Oak Hill Cemetery beside his father T G Sampson. His career included roles at Citizens National Bank Rosebud First National Bank of Rosebud and work in California mining and real estate. He married Alex Whitman in 1906 and had a son Tom Jr. born in Cameron.

Funeral services 10 am Saturday at Rosebud Church of Christ with Marek Burns Funeral Home Cameron directing. Survived by widow Zoie Pearl Hill 13 grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters including John R Hill Richland Springs Mrs A R Kent Hendricks OK Mrs R O Moore and Mrs Will Stacy of Lubbock.
