Dorothy Blaylock reading “Flanders Field” preceded a minute of silence at eleven. An evening Legion dance followed at the Knights of Columbus hall. A football game between Cameron and Rockdale drew a large crowd.

Body of Ramon Flores Found in Pond Creek
The Mexican man Ramon Flores was found dead Friday night in Pond Creek near Briary. Sheriff L L Blaylock and Justice J T Thweatt conducted an inquest. authorities say Flores was struck with a blunt instrument and robbed of $150 after leaving home ten days earlier to Dallas to buy clothes. Investigators continue probing for a suspect.

John G West 62 or 68? died November 11 1926 at his Cameron home after a brief heart illness. He was a long time cotton trader and Rockdale born Virginian who moved westward to Texas. Funeral held at his family home with Rev E S Hutcherson leading simple rites. Hundreds attended. pallbearers named from cotton trade circles.

Baptist Revival Ends After Eight Days of Sermons
The Baptist church held an eight day revival led by Dr. White of Southwestern Seminary Fort Worth. Helm conducted lively song services and offerings were made to the seminary. The meetings drew large crowds and several additions by letter and baptism were reported.
