Farmers Union President Criticizes New Farm Bill
Texas Farmers Union President Jay Naman warns the Nixon Administration farm bill will cost Texas feed grains producers about 50.4 million dollars over three years by limiting corn support to 1.35 dollars per bushel and tying grains to 75 percent of parity. He notes the reduction comes as farmers face low prices and rising costs and criticizes the House Senate conferees for not adopting the higher parity provision.
