Rockdale Reports Ambulance Profit During Oct 75 to Apr 76

Citywide west Cameron cleanup drive set to start June 2

A city wide cleanup drive begins June 2 on Cameron’s west side, with city trucks collecting debris from Vogelsang Ave to the north and toward the east city limits. The program is sponsored by the City of Cameron, the Civic Improvement Committee, and the Community Development Agency.

Rockdale Man Charged With Armed Robbery

Roy E. Freeman of Rockdale was charged with armed robbery in Milam County court after a Brumbelow Cafe in Cavilla heist. Freeman, wounded by a back shooting, remained hospitalized as officers recovered about 117 dollars from five to six patrons. The arrest followed a 2 am tip and a pursuit two miles south of Davilla on FM 908.

Milam County funds museum and jail roof repair ordered

Milam County commissioners in a 1 pm meeting approved revenue sharing amendments, funded $6000 for the show barn and $2000 for a proposed county museum, and authorized courthouse elevator repairs and sheriff radio work. The Rockdale Reporter bid on tax forms was accepted and the county plans interior jail roof estimates.
