Gulf Islands National Seashore Joins National Parks
A new saltwater recreation area in the Gulf of Mexico joins the National Seashores. The Gulf Islands National Seashore, planned for 17.774 million dollars over five years, will include Ship and Petit Bois Islands and other sites near Pensacola. The preserves aim to protect natural beaches and habitats while offering shell collecting, boating, fishing, camping and bird watching.
