Texas May Draft Quota Set at 834 As Induction Plans Grow
The Texas May draft call is 834 with 1951 birth year men and others lacking numbers not called now. Colonel Morris S. Schwartz says the May quota falls from April 940 and covers pre induction exams for 5828 with numbers 1 through 215, while random sequence numbers above 145 delay volunteers and nonvolunteers alike. A July drawing is expected to set numbers, with 15 000 men nationwide for the Army.
