Milam County residents benefited from Federal Opportunity loans under the anti poverty program. Loans up to 3500 dollars can finance income producing ventures or expand farming. Repayment may extend to 15 years. Local FHA official Henry Ivey notes successful non farm enterprises and farming expansions funded since July 1967.

New Process In Preserving Food Uses Irradiation
