Farmers urged to back marketing efforts by Aaron Sapiro
Aaron Sapiro told farmers and bankers in Temple Texas that cotton marketing must be organized through cooperatives and long term contracts. He warned that America lags in farming organization and outlined structure, finance and governance for a non profit cotton association with expert staff and a board elected by members. He described interim financing via bank advances secured by warehouse receipts and rediscountable paper to support growers while market contracts mature.
