Walt Reedy was named executive director of the Central Texas Council of Governments last week. He previously served 3 1/2 years as planning director on the COG staff and pledged to maintain the agency’s strong regional reputation. In McGregor, dirt was minimal at the Farmland Industries ground breaking for a $2.3 million feed mill east of town on Highway 84, with locals expressing optimism for construction progress.
