Terrells’ rural success framed as anti communism tale

In East Texas Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Terrell built a prosperous farm life after early losses. They expanded to 150 acres, raised cattle and poultry, and turned income from milk, butter, wool, hay, and corn into profit. They credit the land, labor, and frugal care over government relief, arguing it illustrates democracy’s mobilization and opposing communism. The piece ends urging Red Cross garment donations to aid war-related displacement.
