The
First Catholic Church in Cameron laid brick by Lennartz
Milam County's Catholic Church reflects a fifty year legacy with a parish school, a three-nationality congregation, and a history begun in 1862. Fr. Lennartz oversaw 1890 brick church construction, later expanding with St. Anthony's School and a dedicated parish. The 1904 church was completed with local alms and a $4,445 frame building.
