Two day interscholastic meet announced with events across declamation debates extemporaneous speaking volleyball and baseball. schedule includes junior and senior divisions at Yee High and Ada Henderson building with finals at 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday afternoon track and field at Yoe High School field. Awards crown winner of Class A meet with a large silver cup.

Southwestern Choral Club sings at Methodist Church
The Choral Club of Southwestern University Georgetown performed at First Methodist Church Cameron last Sunday March 6 at 11 am. More than twenty young ladies sang before a large Cameron congregation. Member Mary Freeman of Maysfield belonged to the group.

A D Lucas Civil War Veteran Dies in Cameron Texas
A D Lucas 84 died at his son W M Lucas residence in Cameron Texas on March 3 1927 at 6 AM. Born September 24 1842 in Birmingham Alabama he moved to Texas in 1879 and settled in Parker County. Survived by wife seven sons one daughter thirty three grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. Memorial services were held March 4 at North Kin with Rev E K Springer officiating. Interment at North Elm Cemetery.
