Death of Eddy Woman Reveals Local Sympathy

News from Cameron reports the death of Mrs. Watson mother of Mrs. F James Watson at her Eddy home Sunday night. Funeral was held at the home with burial at Mooreville on Tuesday. Mrs. Watson remains in Eddy for several days as friends express sympathy.

Minerva Field Shows Promising Oil Wells Amid Shallow Run

The Minerva shallow field draws attention as Lucas-Concord 8 Company reports a 100 barrel daily well, now producing around 25 barrels daily after three weeks. Highway Conditions Report for Texas and Oklahoma

All highways are improving across Texas and Oklahoma with only heavy conditions in the most impassable sections. The route to San Antonio is passable only via Davilla and Bartlett, with heavy traffic between those towns. Detours are required to Belton due to a water hole on the Kings trail Houston route remains open but heavy between Courtney and Hempstead. March 1, 1923.

Exclusive Cameron Methodist Church Opens March Fourth

An exclusive photo shows Cameron Methodist Church awaiting occupancy on Sunday March 4. The building, valued at about 100000 dollars, features a pipe organ donated by Mr and Mrs John House of Cameron and will host an 11 o’clock service with Rev Paul Kenny D Dean of Theology at Southwestern Methodist University Dallas. An organ recital by Mrs H M Whaling Jr precedes the service.

Trades Day crowds in Cameron are slated for a Monday event featuring Tibbs Air Circus stunts recalling war days. Secretary C A Sprott of the Retail Merchants Association arranged the circus contract, with Murrell Tibbs and Curtis Aircraft rep to oversee pre arrangements. Sewer Contract Set by Cameron Council

The Cameron council approved an extension of the sewer system with San Antonio firm Saigh & Co. The bid is 10614.50 dollars. N A Saigh will bring engineers and workers within the week to begin installation, while County Engineer A F Mitchell supervised the bidding and design work. The project aims to relieve downtown congestion and serve Hefley Heights Mondrick and surrounding additions.
