Red Cross Meeting Convened in Cameron
In Cameron a Friday evening Red Cross meeting led by Rev. Walter G. Harbin elected E. A. Flinn as chairman and W. W. Greer as secretary to organize county Red Cross work. A mass meeting at the courthouse on July 3 at 3 pm was planned with a central publicity committee and a finance group to gather funds for the national 100 million Red Cross drive.

Auto Owners Pay Tax on July 1
The new State Highway Department law requires all automobile owners to register, pay a 35 cent per horsepower fee with a minimum annual $7.50, and display numbered plates with a seal on both ends of the vehicle. Half of the fee is due July 1, and the rest on Jan 1 each year. operating without plates after the act takes effect is a misdemeanor with a $10 to $25 daily fine.
