Judge Sets August Trial For Ellison

Jesse Ellison of Temple had his trial scheduled for Tuesday August 19 in 20th District Court before District Judge W C Wallace at a pre trial hearing. Ellison was convicted of armed robbery in Falls County in February 1966 and sentenced to the electric chair. A venue change to Milam County was ordered in April. Story Hour Starts Two Month Program At Cameron Library

Cameron Public Library opens a two month Story Hour program for children July 3 through August 2. Mrs Ladis Marek Jr leads sessions each Thursday from 10 30 to 11 30 am with two groups preschool and grades one to three. Cadet Girl Scouts will present stories and crafts in July and volunteers for August are to be announced. A State Library certificate will be awarded to children who read at least 12 books during the session.

Two Men Charged In Hudson Burglary Case

Morris Spriggs of Cameron and Robert Earl Jones of Temple face burglary charges in Justice of Peace Jess Brock's Court for stealing television sets from Hudson's TV in Cameron about two months ago. Spriggs posted bond while Jones was captured in Belt after release from Hell County Jail and is jailed in Milam County.
