Hog raising urged as practical farm venture by Edwin He
Edwin He of the Texas Industrial Congress advocates hog farming as a year round profitable plan. He suggests fencing land into two half acre plots with a portable hog house and green pasture, raising a pure bred sow to produce two litters yearly, and feeding to market or home use. He urges careful records and small barrow programs to start, noting Texas hogs can curb pork imports and boost local farms.
