Weems Chambers Wed In Cameron Home Ceremony

Miss Maud Weems and Mr. Bert Chambers were married at the bride's parents home on West Main in Cameron. Dr. W A Gillon performed the ceremony, with Miss Mattie Lankford playing the wedding march. The couple will live in Caldwell where Chambers works in the concrete business. they plan a bridal trip to Clifton and return by Saturday.

Elm Creek Bridge Rebuilt By Thach and Hanna

The Elm Creek bridge between Cameron and Ben Arnold washed away in April floods has been replaced by contractors Thach and Hanna. The structure rests on concrete piers twelve feet below surface and is stronger than before. The firm plans more bridge contracts and hopes to extend their reputation beyond Milam County.

Austin June 21 1915 the Comptroller’s Department reports that all liquor license applications have been acted upon with a few held for correction. More than 2000 permits issued with about 1000 additional expected in July to complete most applications. Delays of years past are reduced as department work runs on schedule with plans to hire extra clerks to clear delinquent records and update tax leads. A three day rule for warrants improves issuance timing and a Saturday noon closing hour is introduced for the summer, following steps by the State Treasury Department.
