Ferguson Renders Account of His Executive Actions
Waco Texas June 14 1916 James FE Ferguson governor of Texas arrived to open his campaign before the Democratic primaries. He was greeted by a large orderly crowd of merchants lawyers professors and business men. He rode in an Austin contingent parade led by State Senator A R McCollum with Lt. Gov William P Hobby and others. At the Raleigh hotel the governor received a warm ovation with visitors shaking hands and greeting state officers before lunch.
