Mexicans Organize a Baptist Church Here in Cameron
Minutes from May 17 1925 document the founding of the First Mexican Baptist Church of Cameron Texas with about 80 members from the Mother Church. Rev F A Hernandez Rev E S Hutcherson Rev Guillermo Ibarra and others led the organization electing Hernandez pastor and outlining the covenant faith. Deacons and church officers were named and regular meeting day set. Baptisms followed and the session closed with prayer.
