Milam County’s 4-H Poultry Judging team placed third in the state at the 1965 4-H Roundup with 2607 of 3099. Joe Michael Brady earned fourth high individual with 918 of 1000, Arthur Jistel sixth with 995, and teammates were Brady, Jistel, and Larry Jungmann. County Agent J. D. Moore coached. Harris County won with 2817, Brazos 2765. The contest is sponsored by the Texas Poultry Improvement Association with an all expenses paid trip to Chicago for the winning team. Harris County will represent Texas in the National Contest.
