Methodist Pastor S. G. Porter Buried at Maysfield
The Marlin district mourns S. G. Porter pastor of the Maysfield Methodist church who died in Marlin after illness. He came to Maysfield in 1925 and promoted community entertainments. He was 49, survived by his wife and daughter Jesse Tyson. Burial at Calvary Cemetery followed funeral at First Methodist Church.
