George Tiffany Moore of Houston died at his home June 28 after a short illness. A 72 year Houston resident born in Cameron, he was an Engineering Sales Executive with Maintenance Engineering Corporation since moving to Houston. He was UT chemical engineering 1935 graduate and member of the Houston Engineering Society API ME and Brae-Burn CC. Survivors include his widow Annette, son George Arthur II, daughter Margaret Claire, and sister P D Laughter. Funeral services were at Bethany Methodist Church with burial in Forest Park Cemetery.

Edward Lierman, May graduate of Yee School, signed a letter of intent to attend Blinn Jr. College in Brenham. The 6 foot 2 inch, 185 pound former VHS star led Dub King’s Cen Tex and earned all district honorable mention as a senior halfback. A standout track athlete, he posted a 10.0 seconds in the 100 yards and 21.2 in the 290 yard dash, with a 21.2 in the 180 yard low hurdles and 15.8 in the high hurdles. His comeback from a 1958 neck injury against Cameron-Bellville culminated in a dominant senior season with 90 points. He will report for football workouts after the summer.
