VFW Post Holds July 2 Meeting At Ledbetter Park
VFW Post 2010 met July 2 at Ledbetter Park with 30 members present for initiation ceremonies. Hearing Postponed On Restraining Order
Counsel for Mayor Weems and the city agreed to a later hearing date after the death of Weems sister Mrs Willie Fulton in an auto accident near Belton. Hughes Recovering From Cycle Injuries
Dwight Hughes son of Mr and Mrs Stanley Hughes is recovering in an Austin hospital from injuries after a motorcycle crash about 4 pm June 30. The 1967 Yar High School graduate was thrown about 50 feet, suffered a broken right hand and cheekbone, and underwent surgery to set the cheekbone. He and his father were involved with another Dallas rider group and were leaving races 10 minutes before the collision. release is anticipated this weekend.
