Two facing felony charges as gambling equipment seized
In downtown Thorndale state officers raided Pot O Gold on Main Street at midday seizing 45 illegal gambling devices. DPS spokesman Cpl. Charlie Morgan said a warrant also covered a private residence of operators. two suspects, Jeffrey Browning 39 and Barbara Borque 61, were arrested on a state jail felony count of engaging in organized criminal activity and booked into Milam County Jail.

TABC citations arrest three at area bars Saturday
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents arrested William Watson 42 of Temple for public intoxication at Buckholts Tradition Bar in Buckholts and cited 51 year old Joe Mendoza of Pettibone for public intoxication at the same time. Aaron Pasemann 44 of Thorndale was arrested at Brushy Creek bar in Thorndale on public intoxication charges. Administrative actions were handed to each bar for selling to intoxicated patrons and to The Coal Mine at Big Bob’s Steakhouse Cameron for open saloon. An accidental death in Gause was reported later.
