Roles Varied For Closets
Specialized storage closets for linens or cleaning supplies should be near served areas and can fit in tight spaces. Linen closets belong near bedrooms with smaller units in baths and dining or kitchen for towels and table linens. Doors about eight feet high with wide openings. Shelf depth 12 to 16 inches. Consider a floor to ceiling cabinet three feet wide and two inches deep for vacuum storage with upper shelves.
Room Bonus In Basement
Adding living space in a basement calls for a light color scheme and rich looking materials to avoid a subterranean atmosphere. Panels of light toned wood like western pine or hemlock vertically installed create the illusion of higher ceilings and brighter surroundings.
Builder Prefers Wood In Pools
A Northeastern pool maker has built over 700 wood based in ground pools with vinyl covering plus steel or concrete options in seven years. The firm offers a 20 year warranty citing wall vinyl compatibility and no settling or cracking issues. Wood pools allow design flexibility and factory fabrication speeds site work while cutting labor costs.
