Interest Increases In Rockdale Oil Field
Rockdale Texas January 15 The Wills Oil Company on the Kevil tract and Murray Ramsel and Lorenz on the Gorman tract brought in two producers Wednesday for 50 barrels each. Wells lie on the west side near the city limits as Rockdale shows a growing shallow field. The field spans ten miles long and one mile wide with no limit drilled yet. Veterans of the oil trade have visited the field and more are visiting. homes and lodging are in demand.

Pioneer D2ll Woman Buried in Rogers Texas
Mrs Clarenda Johnson a pioneer citizen of the county died January 16 at 1 15 pm at the family home. She was 63 and a member of the Church of Christ. Funeral services were held at the residence by Rev Died Wallace of Temple and burial followed in Rogers Cemetery. Out of town relatives attended from Temple Cameron Milano Rosebud San Angelo and Killeen.
