The Rockdale-born Dr Charles M. McMillan 57 now in California is charged with the murder of Amelia Appleby in Los Angeles County. Police say she was beaten and strangled, her body found bound in a sack near San Fernando. A pencil will in McMillan's apartment appears to name him, and investigators note real estate dealings and power of attorney tied to the case.
