Charley Bauch died after a typhoid illness that began at home and led to treatment in Temple. Dr. Harry A. Briggs accompanied Bauch and relatives to the sanitarium for care, with fluctuating hopes of recovery that ended in his death Friday night. The loss saddened the Buckholts community and those who knew him.

The county Farmers Union met at Liberty school house last Thursday with about 70 to 90 members and delegates in attendance. A large dinner was served and luncheon followed. business sessions started at 10 am and 1 30 pm, with adjournment to reconvene three months hence at Bushdale, near Rockdale.
