Fire Destroys Garage and Truck on Salem Road
Tuesday afternoon a fire destroyed a garage, a pickup, and an automobile at the Reeves frown farm on Salem Road west of Cameron. Saddles and storage were burned. the blaze was likely started by nearby trash burning. Grass fires were also reported nearby but brought under control.

City Taps $11 543 From Sales Taxes
A one percent sales tax collected from July through September added 11 543 81 to the city coffers. The latest payment rose 400 from the September first payment. First 1969 baby welcomed at St Edward Hospital

Cameron Blood Program Faces Shutdown on Low Donor Totals
Central Texas Red Cross warns Cameron could lose its blood program if the next Bloodmobile visit fails to collect 108 acceptable units. Eugene Gregory age 73 died in San Antonio January 2. Born January 25, 1894 in Rockdale he was a former Cameron resident. Graveside rites were conducted at Salem Cemetery Friday at 3 p.m. Rev. J. E. Lafferty officiated. Survived by daughter Carol Davis of Houston brother Rigsby Gregory of Wichita Falls and sisters Mrs. Frank J. Rogers of Rosebud and Mrs. Lucille Przybysz of San Antonio.
