1965 Farm Outlook Seen Mostly Stable With Growth
College Station Texas A&M Extension economist John McHaney expects 1965 to bring higher demand and supply for farm products while prices stay largely steady. Domestic markets should grow with income and population gains, while exports in fiscal 1964 65 remain strong though below last year’s peak. Carryover stocks stay high with crops and grains, prices for crops likely modestly lower, and farm income and assets rising though debts grow, increasing need for credit.
