Development in Cameron oil territory shows progress with Bartek No 1 spadded and No 2 drilling planned. Banks in Cameron report total resources near five million dollars with cash at over four million and deposits just over five million, signaling peak financial strength and ample reserves.
Williams the Plumber announces the opening of a downtown plumbing shop in the Reno building beside Sharpe Jewelry Store. After three years in Cameron, his new downtown venture aims to provide better plumbing service and offers around the clock contracting.
The Bee Line Coaches Company will maintain its permanent location at the Milam Hotel on the south side of the courthouse square. The Milam Hotel, owned by Joe Bass, a Cameron businessman, is noted as a leading Central Texas hotel known for its service.
Federal Agent J M Ray of Waco arrested Claude Robinson in south Cameron early Monday on illegal liquor possession charges. Ray seized 28 gallons of liquor, took Robinson and the vehicle to Waco, and reported the suspect carried a gun which was surrendered and held as evidence.

The Presbyterian church kitchen silver supply suffered a second theft within the year as Rev. O C Acrey reports about 300 pieces stolen from the church locker. The discovery was made Saturday and a prior theft occurred last fall with the lock pried from the container.
A Cameron service station owner announces the newly constructed washing and greasing department at Robinson Certified Texaco is ready to serve the public. The station is described as one of the best equipped in the county.
