Parker's Body Found In Store At Heidenheimer Texas
Temple Texas December 30 Parker 48 and bachelor was found dead Sunday morning in his Heidenheimer store with six skull fractures. Clothes burned and a five pound iron casting shaped like a club found nearby. A purse with 100 dollars and 65 cents was behind the counter. Parker slept in a back-room curtained area and was armed. revolver under pillow and another gun in a showcase. Murder suspected Friday night about 9:30. Court of inquiry failed to solve the case after examining fifty or more persons.

Col Henry Exall Dies in Dallas at 76
Col Henry H Exall, president of the Texas Congress, died at his Dallas home at 4 40 am from heart disease after a period of declining health. He was born in Richmond Va on August 30 1848 and served in the Tenth Virginia Confederate Cavalry earning the nickname boy of the regiment. He later practiced law and engaged in woolen goods manufacturing before moving to Texas where he led the state congress. He is survived by his wife and son Henry Exall, plus two brothers and two sisters.
