Murder suspect returned to Houston to avert lynching

Frederick Joseph Absalon a 24 year old Czech born man charged with murder and bank robbery was taken from the Milby hotel to Richmond for examination but returned to Houston amid threats of mob violence. Also held is Mrs J H Allison linked to the case and found with Liberty bonds and a 45 caliber Colt bloodstained.

Citation for Tom Brown in Milam County Court

The District Court of Milam County Texas issues a writ demanding Sheriff publish weekly citations for four weeks to summon Tom Brown regarding a petition filed October 9, 1919 in case No. 8038 with abandonment as the statutory ground.
