Governor Considers Pardon Request in Scrivner Case
Austin Texas February 7 An application for a pardon for W S Scrivner recently found guilty of robbing a Dallas post office sub station was received by Governor Neff from Maury Hughes Dallas district attorney. The pardon aims to allow Scrivner to testify in the trial of Albert L Rowan for the murder of G N Street. Rowan, the alleged mastermind, faces twenty five years in federal prison. The governor will withhold action pending investigation.
