Sunday Crash Injures Three In Texas Intersection
A Sunday traffic collision at Fourth and Jefferson streets injured three people and sent them to Central Texas Hospital. Fred Finley, 20, driving a 2005 Dodge Neon west on Fourth, collided with Jose Gonzales, 63, in a 1991 Chevy S-10 that pulled from a stop sign. Passengers Megan Andrulat, 18, and William Pederson, 18, both of Killeen, were also transported by AMR.

Two suspects face assault charges in Milam County
Two men are charged with assault in connection with an early Friday shooting in rural southern Milam County. Darryl Jones, 48, of Rockdale called 9-1-1 after being shot on Highway 77 south of Rockdale around 1:30 a.m. He was treated at Scott & White in Temple for a gunshot wound to the left leg and transported in stable condition. Bertha Leal Mireles, 25, of Rockdale is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and bonded out after posting 50,000. Cedric Bernard Walton, 31, was later arrested without incident. Police and deputies continued to process the case, with additional arrests and court actions listed in the Milam County logs through early February.
