School Here Gets WPA Allotment for Campus Driveways

A. J. Jackson, 93, longtime Milam County resident and Salty Community figure, died January 30 1938 at his home. He served under General Lee, helped organize the Salty Singing convention, and was a Methodist church official. Funeral services were held February 1 1938 at the Salty Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow and twelve children plus numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Robert Young Baskin, 26, died in a Huntsville hospital after a car wreck on a highway near the city. He rode with J. P. Hopper and Jack Denton, both of Huntsville, who were injured. The accident was reported to his mother Mrs. Sue Baskin in Cameron. Known as Red by friends, he had recently returned to Texas from seisograph work.
