Farmers in Cameron join national tractorcade movement

Area farmers paraded on tractors Friday through Cameron and left machines along Highway 77. Nearly 100 attended Thursday night rally where Vince Cortese of Little River spoke, joined by Ed Lehmann of Buckholts and candidate Lane Denton. They urged political participation and said farming has been harmed by politics.

Texas Power & Light seeks 18.4 percent rate hike

Wants would raise overall revenues by 118 million dollars system wide based on operations through September 20 1977 and would apply an average increase across all classes of customers with residential up 25.4 percent municipal services 23.4 percent and commercial industrial 14.9 percent the request filed with Cameron city council and the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
