Pre-nuptial shower and family gatherings in Cameron
Mrs. C. R. Phillips hosted a Santa Claus themed shower for Corine Majors with about seventy five attendees. The event featured readings, toasts, a playful Santa impersonator, and brick cream and cake. The following day Corine Majors married Mr. Irwin Anderson at the Majors home with Rev. Ira Key officiating. The Cameron Herald notes well wishes from friends and mentions associates from Triggs Dry Goods and local families. A birthday dinner for Mr. White was held at home with roses, a large meal, gifts, and socializing. The Forty Two club hosted a holly decorated gathering with chicken salad sandwiches and table favors of holly jars.
