Ranger Captain Clint Peeples and the Texas Rangers legend
The piece recalls Fort Fisher's Ranger outpost in Buckholts and Capt. Clint Peeples facing danger during a 1963 manhunt for four Alabama murder suspects. It links Hemingway's “grace under pressure” to Peeples, notes Rangers’ changing numbers, and honors the quiet, confident Texas lawmen who pursue tough cases with restraint.
