Thousands watched a 20 unit Christmas parade in Cameron last Friday and hundreds later attended the Little Jewel Jamboree at Simon George Hall. Santa met more than a thousand admirers at the courthouse as 1,200 candy sacks were handed out by the Business and Professional Women’s Club. Proceeds funded welcome signs at city entrances.

Safety Expert Outlines System To Cut Accidents
W H Hanes head of Texas Power and Light safety department spoke at Cameron Rotarians on safety planning. He cited 29 first aid cases and one hospitalization from 330 accidents and showed five dominoes representing the accident causes. TP and L reports nearly 3.5 million man hours without an injury under the program. He was introduced by Henry Liebman TP L district manager and program chairman.

Wreck Injures Two Here Sunday
A 2 p.m. Sunday collision at Fannin and 12th Street injured two people and damaged both cars. Marshall Barrett of Cameron drove south and struck Brigetta Turner of Cameron who drove west. Passengers Lucille Jenkins and Weldon Turner were taken to St. Edward Hospital. Jenkins left hospital later, Turner to Temple veteran's hospital. Barrett and Robert Turner were uninjured.
