Local shallow oil deal transfers 317 acres to W A Jones
The Fogle Oil Company holdings near Kinzua Pennsylvania comprising 29 producing wells on four leases totaling 317 acres were sold to W A Jones of Minerva for 10000 dollars. The parcels include the A Moore White Grover Lucas and Ben McClellan tracts with equipment but excludes household goods. Jones plans to clean and repair wells and notes the leases produced an average of about 18.2 and 15.45 barrels per day in early 1929. The sale includes deep oil rights on most tracts and follows prior bids from several parties.
