Drouth Downturn Hits Cameron Grasslands
Area livestockmen report a severe drouth with native Bermuda pastures burned and Coastal Bermuda holding only on higher ground. Short hay and poor second growth, plus low stock tank levels, threaten winter feed. Some see irrigation as a possible option while cattle prices show mixed impact with cull cattle weakest and canner cow market steady.
